Lighting

Lighting is a key element of kitchen design and is often overlooked in the early stages of planning.  The use of appropriate lighting gives the designer the ability to create a number of moods to suit the time of day and can materially change a kitchen's character. The implementation of new technology has had an impact on this area and the use of low energy LED lights are becomming increasingly common as the benefits of their use are appreciated.  Although a higher initial capital outlay is required the benefits are evident in long term bulb life, low heat output and the generation of a pure white light.  The introduction of plinth, over unit and touch sensor lighting options now provides designers with an ever increasing variety of product choices to specify for clients.
